This iconic bird has achieved Elvis Presley status among bird watchers. A sighting brings sighs of ecstasy and squeals of delight. They are seen to represent all that is good and right in the world, and have been portrayed as symbols in art and advertising for decades.
This Bluebird can be found on the edges of the alpine forests, in tracts of burned-out pine, sagebrush flats and valleys and prairie forests and savannahs. They eat a variety of berries and grains and small insects when they can find them. Good luck spotting one in your back yard!
