You can find this migratory songbird breeding in North America but wintering in Mexico, Central America, Florida and the Caribbean. Pretty rock star lifestyle for a bird, eh? The males are dressed in bright blue plumage with purple heads, while females are a slightly less vivid brown with a bit of blue on their shoulders. Their songs can be heard coming from brushy and weedy places where they can find the berries and small insects and seeds that they love.
