As its name might indicate, the house sparrow is very at home in human-occupied environments and can often be seen in villages, towns and on the farm. Unfortunately they may have worn out their welcome amongst the farming community, eating a wide variety of grain crops including corn, oats and wheat. They are just as happy to visit your feeders and will eat many different types of seed.
