The field sparrow is just that, a member of the sparrow family that is just perfectly content living, breeding and foraging for its food mainly in the fields of the northeastern United States. They are not particularly fond of human interaction and mainly subsist on grass seeds and wild fruits.
They are occasionally found in orchards, Christmas tree farms and around rural homes where you may be able to lure them to your feeders with berries and small seeds.
