The Eastern Bluebird is one of the more well-known species in North America. They are easily recognized and can be found from Ontario all the way to Central America. They have vivid colors and a beautiful song that has made them hugely popular among bird enthusiasts.
In the wild they favor orchards and pine forests that have burned or been clear cut. In urban or residential areas they will just as soon move into a cushy nesting box in your back yard. Watch out for them if you have berry bushes in your garden, as they love to raid the berry patch even more than you do.
