

This unique looking striped bird has a reputation for being the bully of the warbler family, seen attacking and fighting with nuthatches and chickadees. Like Cagney, this bird sings beautifully with its “warbled” song, but doesn’t take too kindly to strangers.
They almost exclusively eat caterpillars, ants and other insects, but can be enticed by small fruits when they are on the move.
